Barwon Heads environmental improvement - Conservation Volunteers Australia event

Join Conservation Volunteers around the beautiful areas of Barwon Heads to assist the Foreshore Management Committee with various activities to protect and enhance the natural environment. A major problem in the area is invasive weeds that spread quickly. By tackling them now, it will help prevent them being spread all along the coast on people's shoes, clothes, car and pets.

Learn weed identification and removal skills, meet like-minded individuals who also have a keen interest in their local environment, upgrade your resume with volunteering experience - so many great reasons to join Conservation Volunteers for some fun in the fresh coastal air!

Transport will be provided from South Geelong each day, departing at 8.15am and returning around 4pm. Alternatively, you can meet on-site by prior arrangement with their staff.

Please ensure you wear long trousers, a long sleeved shirt and strong shoes (work boots or hiking boots are preferred). You will also need to bring your lunch, snacks and a bottle of water, they will have extra drinking water to top up your bottle if required.
