RMIT Training

The Student Experience team at RMIT Training recognise that volunteering is a great way for their international students to meet new people, develop their conversational skills and generally learn more about the Australian culture. Having the Coffee Cart Changing Lives operating on campus means that vulnerable youths are able to come and train as baristas on a regular basis, thereby giving them the opportunity to engage with a diverse student cohort and increase their employability. The Student Experience team have offered their students a unique Work Integrated Learning experience by offering students the chance to volunteer on the coffee cart in order to learn barista skills and improve their jobskills. We anticipate that this NSVW expo will provide a chance to start conversations around the benefits of volunteering for a worthy cause.
