conservation volunteers australia 2019

  • Beach scrub conservation at Wunjunga

This is volunteering with a difference! Help conserve beach scrub while making new friends and experiencing beautiful places and remote wilderness.

  • Jali Aboriginal Marine Estate Management Strategy

Working with local Aboriginal communities in the management of Sea Country to reduce the threats and risks to Aboriginal cultural heritage. Tasks will include mainly weed control and rubbish collection along sand dunes and beach.

  • Reveg the Richmond River

Intensive and traditional agriculture practices along the Richmond River have resulted in serious issues facing the river's water quality, stability of riparian zones, soil nutrient deficiency and increased erosion. To combat that, working with farms directly on the river, we will provide much needed riparian rehabilitation by conducting bush regeneration, weed control and re-establishing the local area's native vegetation by planting tubestock.
