GATTON VOLUNTEER EXPO
Held at our picturesque Gatton Campus on Thursday 12 August from 11am – 2pm, this event will attract predominantly students studying in the areas of agriculture, animals, veterinary science and the environment.
HERSTON VOLUNTEER EXPO
The Herston Volunteer Expo will be held on Thursday 12 August, 11am - 1pm. Herston is UQ’s campus for clinical health teaching and research and this event is expected to predominantly attract students studying in the areas of medicine and dentistry.
CALOUNDRA CATHOLIC PARISH - YOUNG ADULTS GANG
The young adults of Caloundra Parish are meeting together, once a week for ten weeks to learn about leadership and how Jesus leads.

KAIROS COMMUNITY COLLEGE - YEAR 10 CERT II IN VOLUNTEERING
We assist all our Year 10 students to gain a nationally-recognised Certificate II in Volunteering, so that by the time they finish Year 10, they have developed pivotal skills that assist them to become more valuable and contributing members of our wider Sunshine Coast community.
JAMES COOK UNIVERSITY CAIRNS - STUDENT MENTOR RECOGNITION EVENT
2021 celebrates the 30th birthday of the JCU Student Mentor Program, the longest running program of its type in Australia.
We are collaborating with Griffith University Social Innovation students that have developed a pilot Community Forests Program.
Mentoring Morning Tea provides networking platform for students with prospective mentors from the community. Leaders form different volunteering organisation inspire students to become an effective volunteer, provide information on the volunteering options with the community etc.
We are hosting two online sessions on the 10th and 12th of August. In these sessions we will express our gratitude to the USC volunteers, facilitate group discussions, run a self-reflection session as well as collect student input regarding newly proposed changes to the volunteer roles in future.
STUDENT VOLUNTEER PROMOTION AND RECRUITMENT - REDLAND MUSEUM
To develop a Redland Museum brochure to promote and recruit student volunteers. The brochures will be placed at local education institutions and used during volunteer recruitment drives.
