Conservation Volunteers Australia - Patawalonga Creek

This was once a diverse watercourse running through the Adelaide plains and their project is undertaken at the only site that still contains a significant remnant of the Swamp Paperbark plant community.

Come and helpĀ Conservation Volunteers Australia restore the creek through seed collecting, native vegetation planting and weed control. We have been working at this site for years, and the changes have been fantastic, but we still need your help to hold back the pressures of surrounding urbanisation!

This activity is free and is a great way to discover different areas around Adelaide and meet new people who share your love of the outdoors. To be involved you will need to wear a pair of boots (strong work or walking boots are recommended to protect your feet and ankles), long pants and long sleeved shirts. Wet weather gear is highly recommended this time of the year. Please also bring a pair of work or gardening gloves, your lunch and a water bottle.

BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL - please phone Jacki on 8212 0777 or go to the following link if you would like to get involved - http://bookings.conservationvolunteers.org/project/info/67153
