The Burdekin Shire Youth Council is a volunteer group of youth aged 12-20 who represent the youth community. Members liaise with the community, organise events and projects and volunteer at community events in order to improve the wellbeing of all young people and provide them with greater opportunities.
Yesterday, at their meeting, the council members were presented with 'National Student Volunteer Week' Certificates to acknowledge their efforts.
Thank you to Tammy Quagliata (Burdekin Shire Youth Council Coordinator) for sending through this wonderful news, it has been great to see so many student volunteers being acknowledged for their contribution and dedication to volunteering.
