Hobart events feature special guest Sam Johnson. Sam is a social entrepreneur from Christchurch New Zealand involved in projects that bridge generations and connect communities. He is most well-known for creating the Student Volunteer Army in Christchurch.

Volunteering Workshop with Sam Johnson: Student Changemakers

Join us for this interactive workshop focused on community problem solving. The workshop will feature a panel discussion between students and community members focused on developing a strong volunteering culture, followed by a workshop where teams choose a community challenge and design a creative solution to it.

The workshop will be facilitated by New Zealander Sam Johnson, Founder and Chair of the Student Volunteer Army and Board member for the International Association for Volunteer Effort.

Epic Caffeine Adventure with Sam Johnson

Inspired by the Ministry of Awesome in New Zealand, this is an open Invitation for any individual or groups on campus who have a volunteering or social enterprise idea and want to discuss it. You’re idea can be a full company or just an idea – all welcome. Drop by for a 20min discussion. We’ll help with connections, advice, support and encouragement to help you!
