With over 40 charities and not-for-profit exhibitors attending, the UQ Volunteer Expo is the perfect event for you to find out more about volunteer organisations, available volunteering positions and the type of experience which might suit you best. This is your chance to speak with organisations such as Woodford Folk Festival, Conservation Volunteers Australia, Multicultural Development Association and the RSPCA just to name a few! There will be puppies and free fairy floss!

UQ welcomes Queensland nonprofits to register for this annual event to boost their volunteer numbers.The event is free for all Australian registered charities and not-for-profit organisations
The event is a really accessible way to reach the UQ student population. Last year the UQ Volunteer Expo attracted more than 1,500 students.
The expo represents an invaluable opportunity for organisations to recruit enthusiastic, skilled students for roles ranging from events volunteering through to specialist projects.
Exhibitors will benefit from engaging with passionate student volunteers who are energetic and want to help them achieve their mission and raise awareness of their cause.
The time exhibitors invest in attending the UQ Volunteer Expo is an investment in the diversity of their volunteer program that will offer long-term return.
It is vital to the community at large to build the next generation of volunteers and it’s a great day out that will help ensure the sustainability of your volunteer program.
Register online! If you haven’t attended the UQ Volunteer Expo before, you will need to register as an employer by clicking ‘register’ on the left hand side of the page before you can access the registration form.
Organisations will need to have:
- Capacity to upload their voluntary positions to UQ Careerhub (careerhub.uq.edu.au)
- Generic volunteer positions and/or degree-related positions available
- Positions available to both domestic and international students
