It's with great pleasure University of Queensland announces their 7th Annual UQ Volunteer Expo.

Here is the perfect event for you to find out more about volunteering!

Many organisations are looking for well rounded graduates, with engagement in the community. Volunteer work not only provides you with the opportunity to give back to the community but also to develop transferrable workplace skills.

With over 40 charity and not-for-profit exhibitors expected, the UQ Volunteer Expo is the perfect event for you to find out more about volunteer organisations, available volunteering positions and the type of experience which might suit you best. Exhibitors will include hospitals, radio channels, government, charity, community, conservation organisations and many more.

Come along to explore opportunities, get experience, improve your resume and develop your community spirit!

If you would like to recruit enthusiastic, skilled students to roles in anything from events volunteering through to specialist projects, look no further than the UQ Volunteer Expo. Last year over 1,400 students attended. Registrations are now open, please register your attendance here.

The event is free for volunteer organisations to attend and lunch will be provided to organisations attending after the event. They have 40 places available and it’s first in best dressed!

If you haven’t attended a UQ Volunteer Expo before, you will need to register as an employer by clicking ‘register’ on the left hand side of the page before you can access the registration form.

Organisations will need to have:

  • Capacity to upload their voluntary positions to UQ Careerhub (careerhub.uq.edu.au)
  • Generic volunteer positions and/or degree-related positions available
  • Positions available to both domestic and international students
