To celebrate National Student Volunteer Week, Greening Australia invites all students to a special volunteering event at their nursery in Aranda.
They grow around 200,000 native plants in their nursery every year, which are then planted out in the landscape as part of restoration projects. This would not be possible without the help of hundreds of volunteers working in the nursery. At this event you will help them by re-potting local native wildflowers which will restore the diversity of endangered grassy woodlands around Canberra.
Morning tea will be provided, and free transport is available from ANU. Pickup from Union Court at 9:45am and return by 12:30pm. Free parking is available, and for bus travel catch the number 40 and get off at Aranda Primary School. RSVP essential for transport and catering – please email
No experience necessary, all equipment provided. Please dress warmly and wear covered shoes.
