In partnership with Bathurst Regional Council, the volunteer team will be working to keep healthy, native green spaces around the Bathurst area. By planting native vegetation and promoting bush regeneration, we can encourage some amazing native wildlife back to these areas. Conservation Volunteers Australia believe that maintaining and enhancing our urban green spaces is crucial to conserving species.

As well as the benefits for wildlife this project plays an important part in protecting our valuable waterways. Your efforts will help to stabilise the banks, prevent erosion and provide important riparian habitat.

This project provides students a great opportunity to get involved in conservation at a local level.

What to bring and wear

• Long pants
• Long sleeved shirt (please wear these even in warm weather, as this is to ensure safety and avoid bites, stings and scratches while on working outdoors)
• Sturdy shoes, CVA recommends boots (no open toe or fashion shoes)
• Sunglasses
• Drink bottle and water
• Please do not bring any personal items of value
